How Does MiYOSMART iQ Work?
MiYOSMART iQ uses advanced D.I.M.S. (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) Technology to create a myopia control effect while maintaining a clear central vision area.
The lens works by providing two zones:
Clear Vision Zone
The centre of the lens provides sharp vision for everyday activities such as reading, learning, and seeing clearly in the distance.
Myopia Control Zone
The surrounding treatment area creates a myopic defocus signal that helps regulate excessive eye growth, which is associated with worsening myopia.

MiYOSMART (First Generation)
- Uses proven D.I.M.S. (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) Technology to correct myopia and help slow progression.
- Features a central clear vision zone surrounded by honeycomb-shaped defocus segments.
- Clinically shown to slow myopia progression by approximately 60% compared with standard single-vision lenses.
MiYOSMART iQ (Next Generation)
- Builds on the original D.I.M.S. Technology with a new Triple Enhanced Design (TED).
- Defocus segments are positioned closer to the centre of the lens to better stimulate the retina’s response to myopic defocus.
- Provides a stronger defocus signal through increased treatment power.
- Features an expanded treatment zone for improved coverage, even with larger spectacle frames.
- Clinical studies show improved myopia control outcomes, including strong results in younger children aged 4–6 years.
