Eye Tracking Problems and Testing in Sydney

Eye Tracking Movement Testing

If your child's teacher has mentioned tracking problems, it refers to difficulties with following a line of text or an object with their eyes. This can impact reading, writing, and other tasks that require sustained focus. Early detection and treatment of vision problems can prevent long-term issues and support your child’s success both in and out of the classroom.

Our optometrist, Mandy Huynh, provides comprehensive paediatric eye care for children.

Why Tracking Vision Problems Matters

Children may not always recognize or communicate vision difficulties, but problems such as lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes (strabismus), or refractive errors can affect their learning, behavior, and confidence. Eye examinations will identify subtle changes or issues early, enabling timely intervention and better outcomes.

How We Can Help

A comprehensive eye exam is essential for assessing tracking in children. Dr. Mandy Huynh will perform a detailed evaluation to assess your child's binocular vision and identify any underlying issues. The assessment may include:

  • Visual Acuity Tests: Measuring the clarity of your vision at various distances.
  • Binocular Vision Testing: Evaluating how well your eyes work together including tracking.
  • Eye Movement Analysis: Assessing the coordination and movement of your eyes.
  • Treatment options like glasses, prism lenses or vision therapy

Do you show any of the symptoms above?

If you notice these symptoms, a 45 minute assessment with our optometrists is recommended to identify any binocular vision dysfunction (BVD) that might be affecting your vision.

Is It time to take the first step towards better vision? Book your appointment with our optometrists today!
